Unwound Chicago provides high-energy live music in the country, rock, southern rock, and Americana genres. Our sets can be tailored to a specific genre. We play classic country from Haggard, Walyon Jennings and George Strait to more modern artists such as Midland, John Pardi and Bothers Osborne. We like to include some rock as well...such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Bros, Eagles and ZZ Top. Unwound Chicago features professional musicians each with over thirty years experience and thousands of shows played locally, regionally and nationally. Unwound is a six person band featuring Ken Drost on pedal steel guitar, Alton Smith on Keyboard, Colin Scott on bass, Kyle Olson on drums, Jacob Sweet and Steve Distler on guitar/vocals.
