Deeply in love with classic soul, R&B and gospel from an early age, Nikki O’Neill has been described by music journalists as an expressive, nuanced singer and excellent guitarist who makes albums with songs that demonstrate a remarkable sense of melody.

Her third album, Stories I Only Tell My Friends, will be released March 14, 2025 on Blackbird Record Label.

Based in Chicago, Nikki has a dynamic and versatile 5-piece band that also can play intimate acoustic shows, and she often performs with a 4-piece, trio or duo as well.

Depending on the show (they can play up to 3 hours), the set focuses on Nikki's original material, but they also play covers by Americana/Soul artists like Bonnie Raitt, Al Green, Aretha Franklin, Otis Clay, Ann Peebles, Prince, Rufus, Funkadelic, Irma Thomas, and The O'Jays.
