Freddie Maguire - A unique voice of international soul.
Freddie Maguire is an Italian singer and composer, born in Florence, Italy on February 22, 1980 to an Italian mother and an American father. His diverse origins have created a unique international musical recipe, with ingredients of American funk, rock, blues, soul, and Mediterranean influences. He is a musician who crosses oceans and cultures and is regarded as one of the best singers of his genre. Freddie’s powerful voice, eclectic repertoire, soulful delivery, and charismatic stage presence captivates his audiences, leaving them excited and desiring more. His magnetic performances have earned him high accolades from critics, connoisseurs, and fans alike.
Freddie discovered his great passion for music at an early age, and began listening to music and singing at 7 years old. His musical interests led him to take lessons from the great Anthony Sidney, a well-respected Italian musician. Over the years, his commitment to his craft has developed into his unique and unmistakable singing style. He is also a teacher and mentor to aspiring talent, inspiring and guiding vocal students, and acting as a judge in singing competitions.
Freddie has performed throughout Italy as well as internationally in Mexico, Argentina, Austria, Spain, Tenerife (Canary Islands), France, and the United States in clubs, festivals, and concerts. He has shared the stage with many famous Italian and international musicians including Rick Shlosser (drummer of Etta James, Rod Stewart, Lionel Richie, George Benson), and Tonky De La Peña (Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Miles , Mick Taylor) and has been interviewed by various radio, TV, and magazine programs in Argentina and Mexico. He currently sings with two outstanding bands compromised of some of the best professional musicians on the Italian music scene. In October-November 2019 Freddie was invited on stage by the wonderful Billy Branch and other Chicago musicians. His most recent album “Evidence” was released in February 2022. On his latest trip to Chicago he debut his new album at Buddy Guy's Legends and Nick's Beer Garden which he was accompanied by some of the best Chicago musicians such as Mike Wheeler, Larry Williams, Chris Alexander,Brian James, Cleo Cole and John Kattke. His new album was produced by L/D Records in Chicago with a mix of Chicago and Italian musicians. “Evidence” is a wonderful work of funk, rock, soul, pop ballads and many other styles.
