Meet Bernard Scavella
Let Bernard Scavella take you on a journey across music genres, one saxophone tune at a time. Delight your auditory senses when you listen to the cool, jazzy stylings of Bernard Scavella, a jazz saxophonist based in South Holland, Illinois. As a skilled musician who has been on the scene for more than 50 years, I take pride in sharing my talent for tenor, alto, and soprano saxophone compositions to music lovers everywhere. Inspired by the sounds of jazz greats, such as Joe Henderson, Dexter Gordon, John Coltrane, and Sonny Rollins, my favorite aspect of performing is expressing myself musically while enticing you with smooth, timeless sounds and music.
I started my music career studying under the great Joe Henderson throughout my teenage years. Thanks in large part to his influences, I have also had the pleasure of performing alongside recognized names, Billy Cobham and George Cables, as a co-founder of the New York City based Jazz group, The Jazz Samaritans.
